Our Landscape Photography Book 2023

Updated: Mar 30

Finally got down to completing this book on our camping trips in 2023.

2023 has been an incredible year. We were introduced to new landscapes when we explored beyond California and visited Nevada, Oregon and Chile. We camped on rocks formed by magma, experienced the bluest lake ever and immersed in a desert as big as Singapore. Chile was a memorable trip. We traveled to the most southern country of the world, also known as the "end of the world (Ruta del Fin del Mundo)". What started as a sponsored trip to Chile to understand the construction of wooden churches became a journey of discoveries. From Bruce Chatwin to Paul Theroux and Werner Herzog, books and documentaries connected us to places; places in turn taught us history, culture and art and connected us back to books.

Photography remains the best tool to share our experiences with you. This year, we visited photography exhibitions of Ansel Adams, Saul Leiter and Edward Burtynsky as we continue exploring the endless possibilities through our lens. We discovered new photographers - Vincent Munier and Greg Lecoeur, and were inspired by them to photograph wildlife. Watching David Attenborough’s latest documentaries motivated us to use our drone and take more videos. Our passion and love for nature, wildlife and camping continues to grow and we are grateful to experience these trips. We hope that through this book, by bringing you around the world and immersing you in these magical moments, it will inspire you to do the same.

Love, Michael & Dee Dee
