The Breaking Ice by Anthony Chen

This movie "captures those moments in youth where you don't know where to go next. Sometimes your life crosses with somebody else's and it forms memories that never fade."

It brought back memories of my youthful days of chance encounters.

That evening when Jenni, Tyom and I went to Ministry of Sound, followed by a night of conversations at my flat. We did not sleep, and went on to Tyom's flat to drink Tequila, then to Brick lane. We lied on the grass, stared at the blue sky and watched birds flew by. We were escaping from hurting relationships, yet felt carefree even though we didn't know what life would present us with next...

Meeting Andy in a football bar in Milan, connecting in English, football and Manchester United. The subsequent weeks made me realize my self worth and gave me the courage to be alone again...

A sudden rain pour in Rome and a Japanese boy, my age, sheltered me with his umbrella. He walked me back to the hostel, then left. No spoken words, simply kindness and a connection to youth solo traveling...

Meeting M at a gig and having a 12 hour conversation about music, life and connection...
